PS4 Exclusive Spider-Man Behind-The-Scenes Video Revealed at D23 Expo
There's good news for Marvel fans this day, as well as having details of the first breakthrough of Avengers: Infinity War, the company also took the time to show us another look at Spider-Man for PlayStation 4.
During the panel of Level Up! The Walt Disney Company's Video Game Showcase hosted at the D23 Expo, Insomniac Games and Marvel have released a new behind the scenes video for Spider-Man, allowing us to look at a new gameplay footage.
During D23, Insomniac Games took the stage to talk about the game. They reiterated how the story is completely original and while there will be familiar character and villains, Insomniac and Marvel Games are working to create something unique with more than a few twists on the expectations.
The video, lasting for a total of nearly three minutes, shows some background on the development of Spider-Man, accompanied by the words of lead writer Jon Paquette and the creative director Bryan Intihar. There are some never-before-seen scenes, too, showcasing the web slinger stopping a taxi with his bare hands and using the environments to take down the bad guys in creative ways.
In the following trailer, we can have an extra look at the swinging of Spider-Man in the city of New York and conceptual art of the apartment of Peter Parker, as well as battles with Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin and Mr. Negative.
For now, we know that the game will be way bigger than Insomniac's previous open world title Sunset Overdrive in terms of map size. The recent E3 2017 gameplay footage also confirmed at the very end that Miles Morales will be featured, too, though it remains to be seen in what capacity.
Check out the aforementioned behind-the-scenes video below. Insomniac's Spider-Man is due to release exclusively for PlayStation 4 in the first half of 2018.
