PlayStation has revealed May's batch of PS Plus Extra and Premium games joining the Games Catalog and the Classic's Catalog, and it's a pretty solid list of seven games joining the service, headlined by Star Wars Outlaws and Red Dead Redemption 2, with an eighth title joining the Classic's library.
This batch is arguably a better offering than what we had last month, especially considering that one of the bigger titles from April's PS Plus Extra games, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, was a game that was previously available in the PS Plus Extra library, only to be removed and then re-added last month. Unfortunately, though, PlayStation is repeating that strategy by re-adding Red Dead Redemption 2 after it was previously removed from the service.
It's the kind of thing that really makes you question what you're paying for, to see the same big games leave and get re-added. No one is complaining that Red Dead Redemption 2, arguably one of the best games ever made, is now a little more accessible if you hadn't played it before. But surely there are newer titles that haven't previously been in the catalog that could've taken this spot to bring a little more variety to the PS Plus Extra library. Something new would at least feel better than just seeing the same games go in and out.
Thankfully, something new is what we get throughout the rest of the lineup, with the other entries for this month having not appeared in the catalog before. Notable entries include Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Bramble: The Mountain King, The Thaumaturge, and Enotria: The Last Song.
It's also worth noting that the Classic title for this month is the 1997 home version of Time Crisis, which is available exclusively to PS Plus Premium subscribers. Time Crisis, along with every other game listed here, will be available to subscribers starting on May 19, 2026.
