With PlayStation announcing its annual Days of Play sale will kick off tomorrow, May 27, 2026, the platform has also revealed the PS Plus Essential games for June 2026, headlined by Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for both PS5 and PS4. The self-described "ultimate" version of the survival game from Xbox Game Studios-owned Obsidian Entertainment joins the fray, but another game added last month stays on for the FIFA World Cup.
That's EA Sports FC 26, unsurprisingly. If you didn't get a chance to download it or even just add it to your library for the month of May 2026 (which you can still do, as the games for May aren't set to swap over to the June games until June 1), then no need to fret. The game will continue to be available through PS Plus Essential for half of June, finally making its exit on June 16.
It's unclear if a different fourth game will be added after the fact, but this does appear to just be a special case of timing, since there's logic in keeping the world's biggest football as accessible as possible during the world's biggest football tournament, even if it is only for a few days. Giving a game an extended layover in PS Plus Essential probably isn't something that'll happen often, but it's a potentially interesting change of pace for how the Essential lineup is dolled out every month.
As for the other two games in the PS Plus Essential lineup for June 2026, platform fighter Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide round out the rest of the incoming games. An overall diverse lineup, since the only common link between these games really is the fact that they're multiplayer titles.
Otherwise, if you're a survival game player, fighting game fan, shooter fan, and don't mind the odd game of footy, or at least one of those four options, there's something here for you. And as previously mentioned, there's still time at the time of this writing to add the other games from May to your library if you already haven't, which are Nine Sols and WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers. Those, unlike FC 26, will no longer be available starting on June 1, 2026, after which the games announced today will join the service on June 2, 2026.
