The latest batch of games joining the PS Plus Extra Games Catalog have been revealed, and they're headlined by a few big, but admittedly older titles. The Crew Motorfest and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered are undoubtedly two of the bigger titles joining this month, but it altogether makes for a bit of a disappointing batch compared to last month's entries. Unless you're a big fan of squirrels and managing professional football clubs.
It's not a bad batch overall, of course, and all of these games will be available as of April 21, 2026. But the issue with Horizon joining the mix is that it's not entering the catalog for the first time, but re-joining it after PlayStation removed it from the PS Plus Extra library previously. Why PlayStation is removing and re-adding its first-party titles, the kinds of games you'd expect to be a part of the service without question, is as much of a mystery as anything, but in the case of this month, it's what PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are paying for.
Elsewhere in this batch of seven games joining the PS Plus Extra library (and one game joining the PS Plus Premium Classic's Catalog) are Football Manager 26 Console Edition, for those looking to show up the ownership of their favourite clubs and prove that fans really do know better. There's also the whacky indie action-platformer Squirrel With a Gun, which is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin.
You're a squirrel, you have a gun, and you're going to shoot that gun at a lot of people. It's not one for the philosophers of the world, but it can be a good time for anyone looking to turn their brain off for a while.
Another turn-your-brain-off game in the sense that it's premise is simple enough is Warriors: Abyss, which joins the PS Plus Extra Catalog in this batch as well. The rest of this month's entries are rounded out by Monster Train, the perfect solution for any Slay the Spire fans who may not have any means of checking out Slay the Spire 2 in its current early access state, and The Casting of Frank Stone, a short horror experience for anyone wanting to add a bit of a scare to their month.
The eighth game included in this month's batch that is only available for PS Plus Premium subscribers as it joins the Classic's Catalog is the PlayStation 2 classic Wild Arms 4, which you can play in an enhanced state with "up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters."
