If you want your emails to be delivered in absolute privacy then ProtonMail has got you covered. Today, ProtonMail has officially launched their iOS and Android apps. Other than its seamless purpose to send and receive emails, the app offers end-to-end encryption. This states that upon sending an email to your friend, associate or a colleague, your privacy would be even more secure than the conventional email clients. Let's see some more details on the app and how does it function in contrast to other email services.

ProtonMail Provides Absolute Privacy For Your Emails

Privacy concerns have been amplified in the recent years. Users want their conversations and data to be secured with another layer of privacy. ProtonMail has done just that - providing end-to-end encryption on emails that are now way more secure than other services in the herd. Through PGP, ProtonMail ensures that both ends of the conversation are secure.

PGP have been around for a long time, however, no other company has made use of it the way ProtonMail has implemented it in its app. You can simply ensure that your emails are private and cannot be intercepted by anyone. All of the messages are stored in encrypted format, which means that not even ProtonMail itself can read them. This provides absolutely zero access to your private emails so no one can disclose them. The app is hosted in Switzerland under the strongest privacy laws of the world.

The app is easy to use as the encryption process is done automatically and not even the user can eye upon it. Moreover, the app is available for free, however, you have the option to donate or upgrade to a premium account. Here are some of the features that you can have access to with ProtonMail:

  • Create a new email address with automatic PGP key creation and management
  • Send and receive encrypted emails and attachments automatically
  • Set timers for messages to self-destruct after sending
  • Quickly organize emails with customizable swipe gestures and labels
  • Get push notification of new emails
  • Send password protected encrypted emails to non-ProtonMail email addresses

The app is available for free on the iOS App Store and is compatible with both iPad and iPhone. If you want to sign up for a free ProtonMail account, click here.  This is it for now, folks. How much does privacy matter to you in day-to-day emails? Will you be giving the app a swing? Share your thoughts in the comments.
