Popular Multiplayer Game ‘F1 2016’ Will Arrive On The Mac App Store This Week

If you’re into racing games, you might have come across F1 2016, one of the most thrilling racing games on the market. While it was previously available on iOS, the game will officially hit the Mac App Store this week. This means that the official video game of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship will be available to download on Thursday April 6. If you’re interested, be sure to keep a look out this week for the release of F1 2016. Developer Feral Interactive details that the game makes use of Apple’s graphics API, Metal and takes the leap forward compared to previous versions of the game. According to the company, the game features both breadth and depth.

“It’s been three years since a new F1 game graced the Mac and a lot has happened since then!”, said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. “F1 2016 is a massive step forward for the franchise, greatly improving upon the fastest and most thrilling on-track racing experience in gaming.”

The game is definitely one of its kind and will provide an immersive gameplay experience compared to other racing games on the market. Players will have the ability to create a driver career that extends up to ten seasons as going deeper into the game.

As for the races, they begin with the exhilarating formation lap which will empower user with the ‘feel the pressure of the all-important start.’ As for the tracks themselves, they span the complete 21 F1 circuits. For more details, check out the trailer if the game in action below.

With that said, the most important aspect of the game is that its a multiplayer platform, allowing users to play against other drivers in a full grid of 21. If you’re going to install the game on your Mac, then you can compete against other Mac users. However,  be advised that you need a Mac with appropriate system requirements. The minimum system requirements for F1 2016 are a 2.8Ghz Intel Core i5 processor running macOS 10.12.4, 8GB of RAM and a 2GB NVIDIA 680, AMD R9 280M, Intel Iris 540 or better. The recommended system requirements are a 3.3GHz Intel Core i7 processor running macOS 10.12.4, 16GB of RAM and a 4GB AMD R9 395X or better.
