A Persona 3 remake has been rumored to be in development for some time, and it's been suggested that SEGA and ATLUS are almost ready to lift the lid on the project, as it will supposedly be revealed next month.

Speaking on the ResetERA forums, user Im A Hero Too suggested that anyone interested in the series should watch the Xbox Showcase on June 11th, as it will be Evoke-itive, from the name of the Evokers that characters in Persona 3 use to summon their Personas. As it is the only entry in the series that features them, the user is clearly referencing something related to the third entry in the franchise by ATLUS.

While Im A Hero Too never proved their credibility so far, the user has been vetted by the ResetERA moderators, so they definitely have access to information not available to the public. As the most recent Persona games making their way to PC, consoles, and Xbox Game Pass was confirmed during last year's showcase, it is not unlikely that the event could be used to show what will be next for the popular Japanese role-playing game series.

As mentioned above, a Persona 3 remake has been rumored to be in the works for a good while. Very little is currently known about the game other than the fact that it will feature so many updates that it will feel like a brand-new game. As Persona 5 was released a few years back, it will be very interesting to see how ATLUS will update the series' formula for this remake and the next main entry in the series, which is rumored to be revealed this Summer as well.

In case you never played a Persona game, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 are now available on PC and consoles worldwide. You can learn more about the fifth and latest main entry in the series by reading Kai's review.
