The iPhone X is ahead of its competition in terms of design, offering more screen to body ratio than most flagship smartphones. The device features an edge to edge display with a hairline notch at the top that houses some of the most advanced components. However, it's never to early to start speculating what the next iteration of iPhone might look like. We have previously heard that the Cupertino-tech titan is working its way to offer bigger variants of the iPhone X. While it was all said and done, we have now encountered a pair of photos that claim to be the display and digitizers of the 'iPhone X Plus'. So let's dive in to see some more details on the matter.
iPhone X Plus Display And Digitizers leaked In New Photos
The images were shared on the MacX forums with the poster next to it claiming that the components come from a "trial run of production equipment" at LG's facilities in Vietnam. The first photo showcases a single digitizer in the hands of a person. As can be seen in the image provided below, the width of the notch relative to the digitizer seems different than the one on the iPhone X.
However, if previous rumors are anything to be considered, we did hear that the notch on the future iPhone X models will be smaller. Nonetheless, it's unclear if the depiction points to the claimed rumors. Moving on, we can see a flex cable that features the printed number, matching with formats used by Apple in the past. In addition to this, the production week is also listed in the flex cable that reads 46th week of 2017.
The second image shows the iPhone X Plus digitizers and display parts. Even though its tough to point out exact details, we can still see the earpiece, sensor and the notch at the top. One thing to note here is that the leak is an extension to previous claims regarding the iPhone X Plus.
KGI analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo anticipates that Apple will announce three new variants of the iPhone this year, all of which would feature the iPhone X-like design. While one would be an updated version of the iPhone X, other would be the magnified version with a bigger 6.5-inch display. Apart from that, it is also said that Apple will also release a cheaper 6.1-inch model of the iPhone.
