Over Two Dozen New Retailers Added to Google Express
For those of you don't know (myself included until about ten minutes ago), Google Express is the company's grocery shopping solution. The service was launched on a trial basis in a few cities a few years ago. The number of locations has since expanded, and so has the number of retailers that support it. The idea of a subscription-based groceries delivery service seems a bit ludicrous, which is why there's an option to pay on a per delivery basis as well.
On paper, it seemed like Google Express would be a roaring success, except, it was everything but one. The absence of big-name retail chains such as Target could be a contributing factor. Plus, there's a lot of confusion about which stores you can order from, as it includes regional and nationwide businesses. However, Google has been on working on getting more retailers onboard. Today, thirty new businesses joined the list. Here they are:
Action Board Shop
Full Cup Flavor
Just Love Fashion
Mars Med Supply
Primitive Home Decors
The Republic of Tea
There's even an ongoing 25% off promotion in some of the new stores, so check that out if any of the above companies pique your interest. Google Express might also come in handy to find local businesses in your area, as it gives them a platform the market their products. You might even find that perfect gluten-free soy supplement you've been frantically looking for. However, the service has a long way to go before it can be called anything close to a success. It faces stiff competition from a lot of name brand retail stores as people still prefer physically going to stores. All things considered, you should give it a try if it's available in your area.
