OPPO Find X Sales Exceeded $15 Million in Just 15 Minutes After the Smartphone Went on Sale

The OPPO Find X finally started officially retailing today on online and offline channels and despite its upper-spectrum pricing, the sales performance of the flagship took off beyond expectations. Keep in mind that the price of the bezel-less premium handset is €999, or approximately $1,161 USD and despite what OPPO is charging, the smartphone still managed to sell well. This would explain that devices with a brand new design have a high probability of doing well in the market.

One Online Retailer Saw the OPPO Find X Sell Out in Just 47 Seconds

The phone set new sales records on the top three Chinese e-commerce platforms Jingdong, Tmall, and Suning Tesco. 10,000 units of the phones were sold at Jingdong Mall in just 47 seconds, with the Find X generating revenue of more than 100 million yuan ($14.98 million) in just 15 minutes.

The phone did equally well offline too, with customers queuing up to buy the Find X. In fact, a lot of customers went to the OPPO stores across the country ahead of time to get their hands on the newest flagship. It is safe to say that OPPO’s latest champion has proven to be a device that has won everyone over.

People who are not aware of the Find X may assume that all this is a marketing gimmick and the device cannot compete with the top handset brands in the world, but that’s the wrong impression. The Find X features the highest screen-to-body ratio in the market right now and utilizes a two-track structure to create a seamless shape on both sides of the device, showing that the Chinese OEM have to feature a lot of innovation with this phone.

Apart from the impressive design, the OPPO Find X also boasts impressive hardware for an Android flagship in 2018. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The phone has a 3730mAh battery, a 3D facial recognition system and a dual camera with the specifications 16MP + 20MP with AI capabilities. The front side of the smartphone sports a lifting structure and is a 25MP shooter.
