Apple's OLED iPad Pro, iPad Air 6, and M3 MacBook Air are slated to launch by the end of March
In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman anticipates that Apple is eyeing an end-of-March launch for the forthcoming OLED iPad Pro, iPad Air 6, and M3 MacBook Air models. Besides the launch, the analyst also claims that the devices are under production. Gurman has also detailed his speculations regarding the upcoming device and what users should look forward to.
The new iPad Pro models are expected to undergo a major redesign, featuring a redesigned chassis and a slightly bigger display. However, the OLED display will be the highlight of the update. The company is expected to launch both models of the iPad Pro with the new OLED display technology, ending its discrimination against the smaller variant. The bigger display will potentially be accompanied by slimmer bezels and Face ID sensors located on landscape orientation. It was also previously speculated that the OLED iPad Pro models will feature MagSafe technology for wireless charging. Lastly, we expect the company to bring the M3 chip to the iPad Pro.
Apart from the OLED iPad Pro, Apple is also expected to launch two variants of the iPad Air 6, with production underway for both models. With the new M2 chip, Apple plans to make the iPad Air available in a bigger 12.9-inch display size. The company could also introduce Face ID on the iPad Air lineup this year, moving away from Touch ID. The iPad Air 6 could also feature a bevy of additional upgrades, improving the design of the current models.
Apple will also introduce the new MacBook Air models with upgraded internals in the coming months. We expect the machines to feature an M3 chip. The company will upgrade both variants of the MacBook Air, streamlining the lineup with consistent internal upgrades. Since the machines feature a relatively newer design, we do not expect them to feature any design changes. The M3 chip will deliver enhanced computational and graphical capabilities. Furthermore, we also expect the devices to feature WiFi 6E technology for faster upload and download speeds.
As mentioned, Apple will launch the OLED iPad Pro, iPad Air, and M3 MacBook Air models by the end of March. While the company has yet to send out event invites, we speculate the company will launch the new devices in the Spring. However, note that the final word rests with Apple, and the company could change its plans if it sees any production constraints.
