The discount on the base 13-inch M2 MacBook Air has increased from $699 to $749 on Amazon, but that is only because the online retailer has something else on offer, and it is for those who do not mind getting their hands on a slightly older-generation portable Mac just as long as it fulfills their requirements. Once again, we have the smaller M2 MacBook Air, in the Silver and Starlight finishes that is going for just $799. On this occasion, you get double the unified RAM at 16GB.
The only compromise you must make from this deal is finding a way to live through 256GB of storage, and thankfully, there are plenty of ways to get through this. First, you can offload any non-crucial data to a portable SSD that you can access later. Second, take advantage of free cloud storage services, and you can opt for a monthly subscription if you do not want several of these applications running in unison.
Other than that, the M2 MacBook Air is a terrific machine, ticking all the right boxes, ranging from portability, durability, top-notch battery life and impeccable performance, all thanks thanks to the previous-generation Apple Silicon. Sure, the M2 is a couple of years old now, but it continues to pack quite a lot of punch and can handle a bevy of tasks with ease.
Unlike the older MacBook Air models, Apple introduced a redesign with this release and has stuck with it for the M3 models too. If you want the portable Mac delivered to your doorstep quickly, we recommend opting for the Starlight finish, as you can get it as early as November 9. With the Silver color, delivery times have slipped to December 15, so we advise making the upgrade as quickly as possible.
