NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Packaging Reveals It Might Be The Most Weirdest Name Ever For A GPU 1

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER has been partially leaked with its packaging design giving us a first look at the upcoming GPU.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Graphics Card Packaging Leaks Out: A GPU That's Both A "Ti" & A "SUPER"

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 "SUPER" family is no mystery but one particular SKU was definitely the highlight due to its weird naming scheme. This card is the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER which adopts both, the "SUPER" and the "Ti" branding. Leakers themselves were against NVIDIA's decision to use such a naming scheme but based on the latest packaging leak by MEGAsizeGPU, it looks like the company might just have given the go-ahead for this product.

If this particular packaging is the real deal, then it more or less confirms the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 "SUPER" series branding and the particular SKU within the family. The "SUPER" logo can be seen in the same font style as the RTX 40 series as the more aggressive one used for the RTX 20 "SUPER" series. It will be interesting to see if the outline of the card is green, silver, or black. We can expect the cards to use similar Founders Edition designs with minor changes with the real action coming from AIBs.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Specifications (Rumored)

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics card is said to feature AD103-275 / AD102-175 GPU SKUs with the same 8,448 cores across both variants and 48 MB of L2 cache. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER should have a TBP close to the 285W mark of the existing 4070 Ti.

So to sum things up, the following is the core count bump as suggested by the rumor:

  • RTX 4080 SUPER vs RTX 4080 Core Count = +5% Increase (10240 vs 9728)
  • RTX 4070 Ti SUPER vs RTX 4070 Ti Core Count = +10% Increase (8448 vs 7680)
  • RTX 4070 SUPER vs RTX 4070 Core Count = +22% Increase (7168 vs 5888)

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 "SUPER" Refresh is expected to feature similar power consumption as the Non-SUPER family and with similar prices too. A recent rumor also hinted that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 "SUPER" series would make a formal debut at CES 2024 which is a few months from now so expect more leaks down the road as we approach the final launch window.
