NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 Spotted Again – Specifications Detailed
NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 770 which is scheduled for launch on 30th of May has been spotted once again by Chiphell forums (via Videocardz). The GeForce GTX 780 and GeForce GTX 770, both of which would launch by the end of May were leaked a few days ago.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 Detailed a bit more!
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 and 780 as already detailed feature the NVTTM cooler from GeForce Titan. The GeForce GTX 770 makes use of a refined version of the GK104 core, codenamed as GK104-425 A2 which although comes with minor improvements over the original GK104-400 core but can be clocked a bit higher. It features a 2 GB GDDR5 memory running across a 256-bit bus and has 1536 cores. These are the same numbers which we got to see on the previous generation flagship GeForce GTX 680. Performance of the GPU is expected to be around 5-10% faster than the GeForce GTX 680 at a cost near the GeForce GTX 670 around $399-$449.
|GeForce GTX TITAN||GeForce GTX 780||GeForce GTX 770||GeForce GTX 760 Ti|
|Memory||6GB GDDR5||3GB GDDR5||2GB GDDR5||2GB GDDR5|
|MSRP||$999||$599to $659||$399 to $499||$299|
The new details that were reported by the leaked suggest that the GPU is 10.5 inches long (same length as the GeForce GTX Titan). The cooler covers the entire length of the PCB which means that NVIDIA have ditched the half size PCB from the GeForce GTX 670 once and for all. Its also mentioned that due to an impressive power delivery system, the GeForce GTX 770 would have a huge overclocking headroom, TDP of 250 Watt and would be supplied power through 8-Pin and 6-Pin connectors. The default voltage for the GPU would be kept at 1.3V. More could however be unlocked with modding tools from overclocking professionals.
The GeForce 760 Ti is another GPU which leakers have been silent about, the main reason could be the fact that it launches later in June. Expect more details as launch comes near, GeForce GTX 780 as revealed by a Roadmap launches on 23rd May.
