The Nintendo Switch 2 has sold through six million units in the first seven weeks.

The Nintendo Switch 2 kikely sold more than 5 million units in June, as data that was shared yesterday has been confirmed to not be accurate.

As reported today by MST Senior Analyst David Gibson on X, the sales data that was made briefly visible yesterday which revealed the new generation system by Nintendo sold 5 million units last month was confirmed by the Japanese company to be data for testing purposes, and so it is not accurate and not related to any sales results or projection of the Nintendo Switch 2. The analyst expects the company to announce 5.4 million units sold when results are revealed next month, and even another well-known analyst, Niko Partners' Daniel Ahmad, thinks that 5 million units is too low a figure.

While it's difficult to predict the actual sales figures for the system's launch month, there's no doubt that the Nintendo Switch 2 is selling rather well worldwide, as it sold over 3.5 million units in the first four days of availability, and there are not enough units to meet demand. During a recent investor's meeting, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa issued an apology for the supply situation, confirming the company is working to improve their production system to deliver as many units as possible.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is now available worldwide. Check out Chris's review to learn why the system is a significant improvement over its predecessor in every possible way.
