A new entry in the Star Wars Jedi series is currently in the works, according to the main character Cal Kestis' voice actor.

Speaking a few days at a panel during Ocala Comic Con 2023, Cameron Monaghan, who plays the main character in the series developed by Respawn, confirmed they are working on a third game without adding much more on the matter.

That a new Star Wars Jedi game is coming isn't surprising at all, as the series was confirmed to be envisioned as a trilogy, and Survivor doesn't exactly bring closure to Cal Kestis' story. Still, it will be interesting to see how much the formula will evolve in the third game now that the series' director Stig Asmussen has left Respawn.

Despite some technical issues that have yet to be fixed on PC and consoles, the latest entry in the series, the aforementioned Star Wars Jedi Survivor, is a solid action-adventure game and a much better game than its predecessor, thanks to its story, characters, and gameplay improvements, as highlighted by Kai in his review.

While Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a surprise journey when it was first released, the time spent apart hasn’t made Cal Kestis’ adventures any less enjoyable. A similar framework in unfamiliar territories helps to establish Jedi: Survivor as a quality sequel to the original release. Jedi: Survivor still plays it safe in comparison to the prior game. It may be difficult to give Jedi: Survivor full marks for its individuality, but compared to the predecessor focused on Cal’s time as a Jedi Padawan, each title can stand up on its own merits, and Jedi: Survivor polishes up much of the experience as it propels the narrative ever forward on Cal Kestis’ journey to Tanalorr.
