The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is not that far from going official, as the device is said to be available for everyone sometime in July. In the past couple of weeks, we have heard a lot of information on the upcoming foldable flagship, and it appears that Samsung might not be making a lot of changes to the device. A new tip has surfaced suggesting that the phone is going to use the same camera system as last year, something that might disappoint a lot of people.
The entire Galaxy Z Fold 6 camera system is a copy-paste from Galaxy Z Fold 5
The tip is coming from Ice Universe, who does hold a record of being pretty spot on with the provided information, and it suggests that we are not going to see any camera upgrade in the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year, which is disappointing, to say the least.
The camera configuration of Galaxy Z Fold6 is exactly the same as that of Fold5. Whether it's the rear camera or the front camera or UDC

Looking at the information supplied by the source, it appears that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have the same camera system as the one found in the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Now, don't get me wrong; the predecessor does have pretty decent cameras, but in an age where almost every phone is receiving a massive upgrade in terms of the cameras on the phone, it just seems lazy that Samsung is deciding to go with an older generation of camera hardware.
Yes, I do understand that there will be some changes and optimizations done to the camera system on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but that still does not discount the fact that going for an older camera system is just Samsung getting more comfortable. This also makes me wonder if Samsung is keeping the upgraded camera for the Ultra variant that is also supposed to come out.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will go official in July, later this year. Samsung will launch the device alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6. We are also hearing rumors about more affordable versions of both devices coming out sometime in the last quarter of this year. Whether that happens to be true or not is something that we will have to wait and see, but for now, this is all the information we have.
Frankly, I am disappointed by Samsung's decision to use the same camera system on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as its predecessor, but we will have to wait and see how it performs before we can pass a solid judgment.
