Metro Last Light: Enter The Metro Short Film Released
THQ has just released a new live action short film trailer for their upcoming action sci-fi instalment in the franchise Metro: Last Light. "Enter the Metro", gives you a brief vision of the minutes just before we enter the Moscow Metro - a monumental feat of Soviet engineering designed and built to serve as a refuge in case of an atomic attack.
Short film depicts the scene of mayhem caused after an attack and what the life will be underground and what it will be like in those final moments. Live action trailer shows a glimpse of the game plot and gives a real good idea of what the game will be.
Based on the novel Metro 2033 by Russian author Dmitry Glukhosvky and a successor to Metro 2033, "Last Light" is a combination of survival horror and first-person shooter. While the predecessor took place mostly inside the metro system, this short film seems to indicate that the gameplay might take the action outside into the light of the post-apocalyptic Moscow.
Players will return as Artyom as the last hope for mankind's survival.
"Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within.
Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.
As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…"
