Maxsun has revealed its high-end iCraft X870M mATX motherboard, which comes with next-gen AMD Ryzen CPU support.
Maxsun's iCraft X870M mATX Motherboard Is Next-Gen AMD Ryzen CPU Ready & Supports Up To An Unlocked 400W TDP
Maxsun's latest iCraft motherboard has been unveiled, and it is also one of the strongest mATX designs from the manufacturer. The Maxsun iCraft X870M does several things differently from standard mATX offerings, so let's take a look at the specs and features.

Starting with the CPU support, the iCraft X870M supports Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000, Ryzen 9000, and even lands in supports next-gen AMD Ryzen CPUs. The motherboard packs a 16+2+1 (50A) power delivery that delivers full power to high-end chips such as the Ryzen 9 9950X3D. Maxsun claims that the board not only supports up to 300W TDPs but also features unlocked TDP support of up to 400W for even higher CPU performance.
For memory, the motherboard features four DDR5 DIMM slots that can support up to 192 GB capacities, and up to 8400 MT/s OC speeds along with EXPO support. Expansion slots include a single PCIe 5.0 x16 for graphics cards, and three M.2 slots with one rated at PCIe 5.0x4 and the other two rated at PCIe 4.0x4. One of these slots is located at the back, while the front ones receive extra cooling not just from the heat sink cover but also the PCH fan, which reduces heat buildup from the GPU and the X870 chipset.
In terms of IO, the motherboard has a vast array of rear and internal USB headers, which include:
- 2 USB4 40 Gbps (Rear)
- 6 USB 5.0 Gbps (Rear)
- 2 USB 2.0 Ports (Rear)
- 1 USB-C 10 Gbps (Front)
- 1 USB 5.0 Gbps (Front)
- 2 USB 2.0 Ports (Front)
You also get the latest wireless and wired connectivity support in the form of WIFI7 with Bluetooth 5.4, and a 5GbE LAN port. Besides these, the motherboard has some nifty DIY features such as a Quick Release mechanism for the GPU, a Clear CMOS button on the back, A snap-on design for the WIFI antennas, and the PCIe x16 slot positioned in the first lane, making installation a breeze inside compact PC cases.
The following are the main highlights of the Maxsun iCraft X870M motherboard:
- Extreme Power: 16+2+1 phase design with 50A Core Dr.MOS power stages – effortlessly unleashes the full potential of the flagship Ryzen 9 9950X3D. Rock-solid stability even under 300W+ loads.
- MAXSUN VIEW Onboard: Onboard MAXSUN VlEW display, Multiple modes are free to explore
- Blazing-Fast Expansion: 3 × full-speed PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, 2 × USB4 40 Gbps Type-C ports, 1 × PCIe 5.0 x16 slot + 4 × DDR5 slots supporting up to 8400+ MT/s (OC)
