Nintendo has revealed some of what we can expect from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4, and it sounds like a solid new collection of content. Booster Course Pass Wave 3 didn’t include any original tracks, merely remasters of classics, but that won’t be a case this time around – Wave 4 will offer an all-new Yoshi’s Island-inspired course. This looks like the most elaborate new Booster Course offering yet, as Nintendo has really gone all out to capture the look and feel of the Yoshi games. Wave 4 will also add Birdo to the game, for those who might have been missing ol’ Nozzle Nose. You can check out a quick trailer for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4, below.

“Yoshi’s Island, a new course, is zooming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass DLC. Birdo, who originally hit the track in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, is also being added. Returning characters from the Mario Kart series will be added in future waves.”

Yoshi’s Island definitely looks like a solid addition and a Mario spinoff isn’t really complete until Birdo shows her snout. Unfortunately, Nintendo has not revealed the seven other courses that will be included in Booster Course Pass Wave 4. I guess we’ll just have to wait for that info.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will ultimately offer 48 new tracks, most of them derived from past Mario Kart titles, delivered over 6 waves. The Booster Course Pass costs $25, or is available for “free” for anybody who has a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can be played on Nintendo Switch. Booster Course Pass Wave 4 launches sometime this coming spring.
