Lenovo has showcased its brand new ThinkBook notebook which features a 17.3" transparent display with 1000 nits of brightness. Besides the new design, the company has also shared its ThinkPad & ThinkBook designs featuring the latest AMD & Intel CPUs.

Lenovo's Next-Gen ThinkBook Notebook Features The World's First 17.3" Transparent Display With 1000 nits Brightness

We first talked about the Lenovo ThinkBook a few weeks back since it was already leaked ahead of its unveiling but today, Lenovo provides some additional details such as the use of a 17.3" Micro-LED panel which will provide 1000 nits of brightness with high color saturation and high contrast. The edge-less design is said to provide a very immersive viewing experience while the dual-touch display will allow users to seamlessly switch between the keyboard & drawing board with a digital pen.

On the other hand, we have the Lenovo ThinkPad series which includes the T14/Gen5, T14s/Gen5, T16 Gen3, X12/Gen2, & the 14 2-in-1/Gen4. These notebooks will be utilizing Intel's Core Ultra CPUs with vPro (on select models). On the productivity side, Lenovo will be unleashing its new ThinkPad T-Series which comes equipped with AMD's Ryzen 8040 "Hawk Point" & Intel Core Ultra CPUs. A few highlights of this lineup include:

  • Double tapping the TrackPoint opens the TrackPoint Quick Menu allowing users to customize common features such as microphone or camera settings.
  • Lenovo View application, which runs on the Intel Core Ultra NPU to save processor load, provides video enhancing tools for the camera including a new Low Light Enhancer that can brighten and denoise video in low light environments.
  • 3M Optical Film solution is available on optional WUXGA displays on ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 and T14s Gen 5. The embedded optical film increases the brightness of the display from 300 nits to 400 nits while using up to 16% less power4, thereby reducing energy consumption.
  • New ThinkPad T14 and T16 designs integrate enhanced repairability features.
  • New ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 will also be available powered by AMD Ryzen 8040 series processors with built-in AMD Ryzen AI, giving customers a broader choice of high-performance CPUs.
