Independent Polish game developer Bloober Team has recently updated its investors on the studio's upcoming lineup, including the freshly announced Layers of Fear 3.

The game was teased in mid-February during the franchise's tenth anniversary livestream. Now, though, we have learned that the game won't be developed by one of the internal Bloober Teams; the studio will instead work alongside a partner (although it will still provide significant input, being the franchise holder and creator). The studio was not mentioned explicitly, but odds are they might be fellow Polish studio Anshar, which already worked on Layers of Fear, the "collection" combining the two games and all their DLCs that launched in June 2023. The game got an 8 out of 10 score in Wccftech's review by Francesco De Meo:

They say an artist's work is never truly done, but with Layers of Fear, Bloober Team and Anshar Studios have completed the Master Opus started back in 2016. With superb UE5 powered visuals, improved writing and some new gameplay mechanics, these journeys into the darkest recesses of the human mind have never been so immersive, although some issues prevent Layers of Fear from being an absolute masterpiece.

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno said the two primary content teams are focused on large-scale projects. He didn't name them, but one is, of course, the already announced Silent Hill 1 remake for KONAMI, following the successful release of the Silent Hill 2 remake. The other, codenamed Project H is a new, original game currently in pre-production by the team that released Cronos: The New Dawn last year. Babieno teased that this is Bloober Team's most ambitious project ever, not to mention the one with the greatest commercial potential, and that's without exceeding the budget of Cronos. Unfortunately for those who enjoyed Cronos, it does seem like there are no plans for a sequel, at least for the time being.
