Highly Likely
Bloober Team's next game may be days away from its reveal during the hullabaloo of Summer Game Fest 2026, at one of the remaining upcoming showcases. We know that, after its most recent release, Cronos: The New Dawn, the studio has a Silent Hill 1 Remake and a new project from the team who made Cronos in the works. Now, after images leaked online, it looks like the latter of the two projects, which seems to be titled Cronos: Lazarus, will be revealed imminently during the SGF festivities.
The first indication of Lazarus came when the title appeared in a round-up article on IGN (though it has since been removed), highlighting titles that will be featured during the upcoming IGN Live show as part of Summer Game Fest.
Now, images that appear to be key art and a screenshot for Cronos: Lazarus have appeared online, as spotted by MP1st, making it seem even more likely that a reveal is around the corner.
The user Intercelluar, who shared the images in the first place, also claims that Cronos: Lazarus is DLC for the previously released Cronos: The New Dawn. Which makes more sense, of course, than it being a full sequel since you don't see a one-year turnaround time for the same studio going from one horror game to the next, especially a team with Bloober's scale and ambitions.
There's also the fact that, shortly after the game's initial launch last September, Bloober Team was already indicating that it had no plans for a sequel. A DLC or expansion-sized follow-up, though, was never entirely ruled out. It would also make sense that the team that made Cronos: The New Dawn in the first place might have a few more ideas worth exploring, if not in a sequel then in an expansion.
Regardless, whatever Cronos: Lazarus is, we could very well be days, hours even, from seeing it fully revealed. It's just a matter of which showcase event does it show up at now. Or, if we go the rest of Summer Game Fest without it appearing, maybe it just leaked at the worst time possible. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.
