With the iPhone X / 8 / Edition getting announced on September 12, it isn’t going to take long for Apple to start taking pre-orders for its edge-to-edge glass-featured smartphone, and if a new report is to be believed, then it looks like you guys can secure your phone just a few days after it has been officially unveiled.
Exact Inventory Count Not Detailed - Initial Supply for iPhone X Might Be Limited During Pre-Order Duration
Latest info comes courtesy of German website Macerkopf, which notes that the iPhone X pre-order window will be open just a few days after Apple’s keynote comes to a close on September 12. Unfortunately, the source does not manage to detail the inventory level of the new iPhone but looking at how radically changed this phone is going to be, as well as the tech running underneath it, there are bound to be supply constraints in the future.
If the Apple TV or Apple Watch Series 3 are announced, then it is possible that the aforementioned devices are going to be available almost immediately for the public. Coming to the pricing of the iPhone X / 8 / Edition, analysts claim that the starting price of the mobile phone will be $900 and will only be available in two storage models. Previous rumors claim that the handset will also be available in the 512GB variant, but we’ll find that out during the actual unveiling.
The high price tag could also be thanks to the increased costs of components in the phone, and to maintain the same margins as it did for previous phones, Apple will need to drive that price up. This will include things like the OLED screen, which is going to be the first for an iPhone, along with a 3D sensing module, new dual-lens system, and edge-to-edge glass paired with several new components.
