Additionally, a fresh report highlights two new technologies that will help the iPhone Fold stand out not just from the competition, but from next year’s iPhone 18 series too.

An in-screen camera has previously been mentioned by Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, who also stated that the iPhone Fold will sport an in-screen camera with a 24MP resolution. Unfortunately, Apple’s first foldable smartphone will lack Face ID because design complications will prevent the Cupertino firm from adding the TrueDepth camera components to the device. Whether this sensor will produce image and video quality on par with the iPhone 18’s front-facing shooter is another debate, but we’d like to mention that ETNews highlighted that the iPhone Fold will ship with COE, or Color Filter on Encapsulation.
