Check out these high-resolution iPhone 18 Pro logic board pictures showing the A20 Pro

We’ve already had our first gander at the logic board belonging to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, with the most notable difference coming from the A20 Pro and its unique Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module Packaging (WMCM) that has moved the DRAM to the side to improve heat dissipation. While the previous leak didn’t deliver on image quality, we now have high-resolution shots of what the upcoming logic board will look like, along with getting a closer look at Apple’s first 2nm SoC.

Three fresh images were uploaded by @TECHINFOSOCIALS on X, and while these didn’t originate from that account, we still got a closer look at the iPhone 18 Pro’s innards. The A20 Pro is said to feature a bigger Neural Engine, which will come in handy for on-device AI operations, but the most interesting aspect is that the SoC will be paired with 96-bit LPDDR6 RAM, an upgrade mentioned in the X post too.

Seeing as how Apple typically adopts technological standards much later than the competition, it’s puzzling why the company would want to introduce LPDDR6 memory before the competition. Fortunately, the new standard offers improved bandwidth and power efficiency, two attributes that enhance AI performance and boost battery runtime.

However, we’ll wait for the official announcement to reveal the truth, as none of these images show any label indicating that the A20 Pro supports LPDDR6 memory. We also expected that Apple’s first 2nm silicon is Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 5G modem. The Tata leak had earlier revealed that the Cupertino giant isn’t ditching the San Diego’s baseband chips with its C2 modem entirely just yet.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely feature the new Snapdragon X80, though one of the labels in one of the images shows “PMX75,” indicating that this logic board is destined for the U.S. market. In another image, an in-house IC could control power delivery to both flagships, ensuring a balance of performance and efficiency when required.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max during its September keynote, with the likelihood that the iPhone Fold will be joined alongside them.
