iPhone 15 Pro models to launch with WiFi 6E

Apple's iPhone 15 Pro models were announced with a wide range of new additions and changes. While the new camera hardware was the highlight of the event next to the USB-C port, the company made sure that the device received some pretty nifty upgrades on the inside. We have now heard that the new iPhone 15 Pro models come with support for WiFi 6E, a connectivity standard that can deliver faster speeds with a more reliable connection.

WiFi 6E makes it to the iPhone 15 Pro models as standard models stick to WiFi 6

As mentioned earlier, the iPhone 15 Pro models are equipped with various upgrades on the inside. The new A17 Pro chip is capable of handling any game or app that you throw at it. Furthermore, the new U2 ultra-wideband chip delivers enhanced precision finding capabilities through the Find My app and enhances features that work in conjunction with the Apple Watch Series 9. The new WiFi 6E chip will allow the iPhone 15 Pro models to connect to WiFi 6E routers with a 6GHz band.

Other than this, the WiFi 6E on the iPhone 15 Pro models will also improve latency and deliver faster data transfer speeds, alongside a reliable connection. Take note that the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models still feature the WiFi 6 standard, giving the 'Pro' models a major boost in the connectivity department.

Take note that your iPhone 15 Pro Max can not solely take advantage of faster speeds with your current router. What this means is that you will have to buy a new one that supports the standard. Since Apple has adopted the technology, WiFi 6E routers will be commonly available. This is the first time WiFi 6E came to the iPhone, but Apple has been using the standard in its iPad Pro and MacBook Pro models since last year. Nonetheless, it is great to see Apple adopting the latest technology in its 'Pro' iPhone lineup.
