The next batch of Intel's Arrow Lake "Core Ultra 200" CPUs will be available for pre-orders to Chinese customers before being distributed worldwide.

Intel Announces Pre-Orders for Newer Core Ultra 200 Desktop CPUs; Retail Launch Will Occur Two Weeks Later

Intel's upcoming Core Ultra 200 non-K CPUs are about to hit the market soon, but it looks like Intel has other plans for the Chinese hardware market. Today, Intel China has officially announced that customers in China can pre-order these CPUs and secure one for themselves.

However, the shipping and official sale will officially begin on January 13, which is around two weeks from now. The second batch of Intel Arrow Lake desktop CPUs will contain only Non-K CPUs, including some F models as well. We have reported several of these SKUs in the past few days, and these will be officially unveiled at CES 2025, where Intel will have its events from January 6 to January 10.

At the same time, expect its board partners to release newer 800-series motherboards, including the B860 and H810, which were spotted recently. The Core Ultra 200 non-K CPUs are aimed at the budget market segment for users who don't need overclocking. Apart from regular non-K chips, there will be F variants, which will have no integrated graphics and will be even cheaper. Then, there are a few "T" variants, which will be ultra-power-efficient SKUs for compact systems.

The pre-sale will start at 22:00 China local time. The Intel China page on Weibo announced,

New architecture, better power consumption, enjoy the experience! Creative inspiration without boundaries! Game experience without competition!

Performance-wise, expect these chips to be slower than their K counterparts since they bring lower clocks and cannot be overclocked. This is why Intel has a budget 800-series motherboard that will allow users to save some good cash on their PCs. We will hear more about their specs, features, and pricing at the event, but don't be surprised if we receive them before the official launch, which is quite common.
