Benchmarks of Intel's Entire 14th Gen Non-K Raptor Lake Refresh 65W Desktop CPUs Leak Out 1

Intel's 14th Gen Non-K CPUs seem to be entering the retail segment as the Core i3-14100 has been listed on China's 3rd party retail outlet, Goofish.

Intel Core i3-14100 CPU On Sale In China For A Price Lower Than The Core i3-13100, Official Debut Still Planned For 2024

As discovered by Harukaze5719, the unreleased Intel Core i3-14100 is already retailing at "Goofish", a Chinese 3rd party retail outlet where several unreleased samples and prototypes usually appear. The CPU has an "SRN26" code and is mentioned as a "QS" or Qualification Sample. Usually, QS chips have no differences when compared to retail chips. In most instances, even reviewers are provided with QS samples for testing purposes but that has changed recently and companies now present reviewers with retail samples to end whatever little disparity there would be between QS and retail chips.

Based on the previous leaks, it is known that the Intel Core i3-14100 relies on a 4 P-Core design which means it's a standard quad-core with eight threads. The chip operates at a 3.5 GHz base and a 4.7 GHz boost clock with a base TDP of 60W and a boost MTP of 110W. The chip packs 5 MB of L2 and 12 MB of L3 cache and should be priced around $100-$120 US, given that Intel plans to make it a competitive offering.

In a previous Geekbench leak, the Intel Core i3-14100 scored 2509 points in single-core & 8881 points in multi-core tests, which is a 12%/23% increment in performance versus its predecessor. However, we haven't seen the CPU being tested in real-life applications, hence the performance can't be concluded here and might be an outlier. A 200 MHz clock bump should only result in a single-digit gain at most.

Intel's 14th Gen Non-K CPUs will be hitting retail shelves around CES 2024. At Goofish, the Intel Core i3-14100 is listed for around $120 (850 RMB), which means that Intel would most probably keep the pricing same as 13th Gen SKUs as they did with the unlocked 14th Gen lineup. It makes little sense for those already running a 13th Gen chip to upgrade to 14th Gen but those with an older 12th Gen or 11th Gen SKU may consider moving up a stack or just wait a year more for the Arrow Lake lineup which is expected to bring a bigger update in terms of performance & platform features.
