AI has been all the rage, and we are well aware of that. It has already made its way to several apps, including Swiftkey and Snapchat, and we are sure a lot more. Now, it might make its way to Instagram as well, as the Meta-owned platform appears to be testing a feature that would enable an AI chatbot in Chats so you can talk to the AI and make the conversations even more fun.
Instagram bringing AI chatbot is another proof that there is no escaping from AI being featured on every app and platform imaginable
Based on a screenshot shared by leaked and reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram appears to be working on a feature that would allow you to talk to an AI chatbot. The chatbot in question will be able to answer questions, give advice, and you will also be able to have a conversation with 30 AI personalities and pick the one that you like the most. If you are someone like me who has a hard time expressing yourself, you would also be able to actually get help from the chatbot to write messages for you.
Of course, we would still advise that you be careful when using AI chatbots and not trust everything they say because AI is not the most reliable thing there is. Yet, I am really glad that Instagram is working on this feature. As for when it is going to come out, we still have no idea.

As for the release date, there is no concrete proof as to when it will come out. Considering how this feature is still in development, there is also a chance that Instagram might end up shelving it altogether. Still, we will keep you posted as we get to learn more about it.
Aside from the AI chatbot, Instagram has been working on several other new features, including the ability to add polls in the comments and replying with GIFs. Of course, these features are going to take some time before they are officially out, but I am pleased that the platform is actually working on all these features. Here is hoping that we get to see more exciting features going forward.
