Insomniac – New Ratchet & Clank “Coming Along Well”

Insomniac Games has responded via Twitter, to some fans' questions regarding the new Ratchet & Clank game as well as the future of the Resistance and Spyro franchises.

When asked to reveal some information about Ratchet & Clank, Insomniac replied that they have no new information to share, other that it's coming along well.

The fan continued to ask whether the new Ratchet & Clank will feature a bolt multiplier, to which they replied with a similar response, that they have nothing to announce at this time.

Another fan asked them enthusiastically to release a new Spyro game, to whom Insomniac explained that Activision owns the Spyro IP.

When asked whether there would be a remaster Resistance collection for the PS4, Insomniac Games replied that Sony would make that call, and continued to clarify that they don't do remasters themselves. They also stated that they have no plans to develop a Resistance 4 either.

It appears that Insomniac Games are not in liberty to discuss anything at this point, and that is to be expected, as any potential announcements will be coming at E3 2015 in June. Regarding Sony owned IPs, they will be announced during their press conference at the event.

Even if a Resistance remastered collection is in the works, Insomniac wouldn't give any details before it was announced by Sony. Same goes for a Resistance 4 being in development.

The new Ratchet & Clank reboot could turn out to be something really special, and since it is said to be released this year alongside the Ratchet & Clank movie, we are likely to see some gameplay footage during Sony's presentation at E3.

We will bring you any new information on Ratchet & Clank, as well as other projects by Insomniac Games, as soon as it becomes available. Be sure to check out our previous PlayStation coverage, here and here.
