How to Enable High Quality Uploads in Instagram

Enable high quality uploads to instagram

You can enable high quality image and video uploads to Instagram on your iPhone or Android phone.

Instagram Doesn't Let You Upload High Quality Photos or Videos by Default, But You Can Enable that Feature Right Away

By default, Instagram will upload your content to its platform in fairly good quality. But, you will be surprised to learn that there is a toggle switch hidden deep inside the settings menu that lets you enable even higher quality uploads. Enabling that option will eat up your data quickly but you can be rest assured that everything you upload to the network will be in the highest quality possible.

Whenever you upload a photo, video or a story, it will be in much better quality from now on. Keep in mind, once again, that it will eat through your data far more quickly than usual. But, is it worth it? Honestly, I can't say at all. Given how good the compression is by default with the feature disabled, it is entirely up to you if you want to keep high quality uploads enabled or not. Maybe given the feature a shot and compare images or maybe even see if someone out there notices your higher quality images and videos.

If you really think that this feature is not making any difference for you, and we're sure it won't for the average user, then it is best to leave it off as it will save you a lot of data.
