How Does the Scarecrow Puzzle Work

The scarecrow puzzle that you encounter as you make your way toward Rinko's house is rather peculiar. The Mysterious Note you will find near the first scarecrow makes it clear that everyone is pierced with a thorn, strongly suggesting that you need to remove the thorn from the correct doll scarecrow to proceed. To find the right scarecrow, you will have to follow the hints provided by the main scarecrows in each of the puzzle areas, which aren't really clear in a couple of cases. Once you remove the thorn from the correct scarecrow, it will show you where you need to go to proceed.
