The Mysterious Engraving puzzle is the last puzzle you will encounter in Cronos: The New Dawn and, unsurprisingly, it is among the most complex in the game, as you will first need to gather a few items before they can be placed to open the door to the Abbey and begin the final segment of the game leading to the ending.

Where's The Mysterious Engraving Puzzle in Cronos: The New Dawn

The Mysterious Engraving puzzle is found in the Abbey's central courtyard, where The Travel has to find her next target, Mother Eliza. It is impossible to miss as the target is right behind the door you have to open by solving the puzzle.

What Do You Need To Solve the Mysterious Engraving puzzle in Cronos: The New Dawn

Before you can solve the Mysterious Engraving puzzle, you must get three missing items - the Shield, the Trident and the Sword. All three of them are found in the crypt in the graveyard, which can be accessed by opening the door to the right of the Abbey's entrance.

Once you have found the three missing items, you will have to correctly place them on the statues to the sides of the door according to the engraving's biggest hint - one row is forged in steel, the other fosters life. To the left, starting from the door, you need to place the Shield, the Child and the Cauldron.

To the right, starting from the door again, you need to place the Sword, Sickle, and Trident.

Now that you have opened your way to the Abbey, you can proceed in your mission. Before you head into the Abbey, however, you would do well to return to the nearby save point and store up on ammo and healing items, as a difficult boss battle awaits you inside.
