A character from Resident Evil Requiem faces off against a creature, with the text 'How to Beat The Titan Spinner' displayed.

The Titan Spinner is the first boss encounter in Raccoon City in Resident Evil Requiem, and potentially, the game's very first roadblock. It is designed not only to further teach the nuances of Leon's combat mechanics, but also to punish players who try to rely solely on brute force. While the creature is massive and fearsome, the battle is less about firepower and more about being smart with your surroundings.

If you find yourself running low on resources during this fight, don't panic. Here is the best strategy to bring the Titan Spinner down without draining your entire arsenal.

Don't Rush

The entire body of the Titan Spinner is heavily armored, and shooting it directly results in low damage and thus a waste of precious ammo. Instead of engaging the enemy directly right from the start, begin the fight by scavenging resources found in the combat area.

Move quickly around the location to find multiple Shotgun Shells lying around while learning the area's layout. It's all interconnected, and you will need to take advantage of this during the fight to avoid damage.

Staggering The Titan Spinner

To actually damage the Titan Spinner, you need to expose its weak point on the back. This is easily achieved by using the two fuel tanks in the arena. One is located on the ground floor, while the other is on the second floor.

Maximizing Damage

The Titan Spinner will only stay staggered for a few seconds, so you must act fast to deal as much damage as possible

This is the perfect time to switch to the sniper rifle, as it deals a lot of damage with a single shot. If you’ve managed to save any ammo for the Requiem gun, use it now to deal massive damage to the bulbs without having to deal with the Sniper Rifle's inconveniently slow reload time.

If you cannot take down the Titan Spinner with the two easy stagger opportunities offered by the fuel tanks, you will need to stay on the move to be able to target its weak points. Always try to stay ahead of the monster and keep a distance between you and its attack range taking advantage of the combat area's layout, and you will eventually have the chance to attack its weak points.

As using the sniper rifle in this situation may be inconvenient, opt for the shotgun. Its higher damage compared to the handgun should be more than enough to send the Titan Spinner back from the hell it has crawled out of.
