Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – How to Find All 7 Upper Plains/Clouded Forest Tarsyu Flowers

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is here, and the Massive-Entertainment-developed game is surprisingly complex, offering a huge open world, survival mechanics, crafting system, combat, and more. It can all be a lot to take in at first, but we’re here to help.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is packed with collectibles, but one of the most important to track down are the Tarsyu Flowers – each one of these will unlock a powerful “Ancestor Skill,” as well as additional points to advance the game’s skill trees. Tracking down these flowers is one of the best ways to make sure you’re prepared for whatever challenges lay ahead, and we have details on how to find them. Here’s how to get to the seven Tarsyu Flowers in the game’s Upper Plains and Clouded Forest biomes…

Upper Plains Tarsyu Flowers

“Way of the Diplomat” Tarsyu Flower

This boosts the amount of Clan Favor you get (here’s our guide on how Clan Favor works)

• Location – This flower is located in Celebration Valley in the southeast region of the Upper Plans on a large floating rock formation called the Great Tusk. You’ll need your Ikran to get there. As is often the case, the map does not do a great job of locating exactly where objectives are on floating islands. Keep an eye out for a series of waterfalls as you search the Great Tusk – the flower is amongst them.

“Wing Gust” Tarsyu Flower

This gives your Ikran the ability to attack enemies with gusts of wind without having to use any limited ammo.

• Location – This flower is found in the Eywa’s Reach region in the southwest corner of the Upper Plains on another large floating rock formation called Toruk’s Peak. The flower is found near the top of the rock formation near where you find an Ikran gear basket.

“Reconnaissance” Tarsyu Flower

This will cause enemies’ paths to be marked by your Na’vi senses, making stealth a bit less frustrating.

• Location – This is located in the northeast corner of the Upper Plains near a very hard-to-miss giant stone arch. Search the southwest edge of the arch where it meets the ground to find a large cave. The flower is right there inside. Even though the area around is polluted, you don’t need to take down any RDA bases to collect this flower.

“Ghost Strike” Tarsyu Flower

This ability boosts the amount of damage you do while stealthily concealed.

• Location – This Tarsyu Flower is found in the Mother of Rivers region to the north of the Upper Plains, within a rock formation located in the middle of a large lake called First Zakru. Once on top of this formation (which you’ll need your Ikran to access) you should be able to find a cave that you’ll have to venture into on foot. Swim through a flooded section and you’ll find yourself in a series of caverns. Look around for a bit, until you find a room with serval platforms and large purple flowers. Make your way around the outside of this room and you’ll find another small cave entrance you can duck through. Continue down a relatively linear path and you’ll find yourself in another larger open cavern area. Look around here and you’ll eventually find the flower.

“Screech” Tarsyu Flower

Your Ikran gets the ability to attack smaller enemies using a screech, saving you some ammo.

• Location – This one’s located in a region called Step’s Cradle in the southern reaches of the Upper Plains, which contains a number of large rock formations and floating islands. Head to the large mushroom-cloud-shaped formation shown on the map above. There should be an Ikran gear basket on top of it. From there, drop down a level and look for a cave partially obscured by vines. Go in and platform up the pink glowing mushroom inside the rock formation to reach the flower.

Clouded Forest Tarsyu Flowers

“Free Fast Travel” Tarsyu Flower

Well, the title of this one says it all doesn’t it? Usually, using fast travel consumes some of your energy. Finding this flower eliminates that.

• Location – You’ll need to have completed The Hidden Clan main quest to get this one. You’ll need to fly to a plateau at the top of the Grasping Mountain north of the Resistance Hideout in the Clouded Forest region. Here you’ll see a cliff face with a narrow pass in it. Scale the large orange mushrooms into order to get into the pass then continue to jump along the platforms and mushrooms inside (it’s a fairly linear path) and you’ll eventually find your way to the Tarsyu flower.

“Tarsyu Network” Tarsyu Flower

In addition to Tarsyu Flowers, there are also many Tarsyu Saplings to find that give you points for your regular skill tree. This skill points you toward those.

• Location – This puppy is found in the Cascading Stones region in the northeaster reaches of the Clouded Forest. Much like the other Clouded Forest flower, you need to have completed the Hidden Clan main quest first. Fly up to the top of a large mountain called the Flying Giant, where you’ll find a nice little spring/lake. In the middle of this, you’ll find a small island with the flower.
