You can set to receive comments from those who you follow only on Instagram. Here's how to enable the feature from iPhone, Android.
Tired of Comments from Everyone? Enable Comments from Those Who You Follow on Instagram Only
While social media is a great place for everyone to be heard, but sometimes things can get mega toxic. When that happens, you have to take charge of everything and make sure only those comments get through which you allow in the first place. Thankfully, Instagram allows you to do that. Instead of allowing everyone to comment on your content, you can set it up in such a way that only those who you follow can comment on what you post. If that's what you want, then here's how you can enable the feature.
Step 1. Launch Instagram from your Home Screen.
Step 2. Tap on your profile tab at the bottom right corner of the display.
Step 3. Tap on the three dashes on the top right hand corner of the display.
Step 4. Tap on Settings.
Step 5. Tap to open Privacy.
Step 6. Now open up Comments.
Step 7. Now open up Allow Comments From.
Step 8. Choose People You Follow and then go back.
From now on, anyone who you do not follow won't be able to comment on your photos and videos on Instagram. That way, you can keep all the negativity and unwanted comments at bay.
You have multiple options at hand, actually. You can set Instagram to allow comments from those who follow you, or even allow comments from those who you follow and those who follow you. There is an interesting mix of choices here apart from the usual 'everyone.'
What you end up choosing is entirely up to you as long as it suits what you are looking for. Again, you can revert to how things were originally by simply going through the above steps again and then choosing Everyone in the very last step.
