Days after the Hawk Tuah memecoin debacle, which affected thousands of early investors and left the reputation of its progenitor in tatters, the influencer behind this saga, Haliey Welch, finally appears to be taking some concrete steps to make amends.

To wit, Haliey Welch is now pledging to offer legal assistance to those affected by the disastrous launch of the Hawk Tuah memecoin, while also vowing to "help uncover the truth, hold the responsible parties accountable, and resolve this matter."

As we had noted in a dedicated post recently, the Hawk Tuah coin debuted on the 04th of December with rip-roaring gains and a peak market capitalization of $490 million. However, within three hours, the memecoin's price plunged by a whopping 91 percent amid a coordinated dump by insider wallets and snipers - entities that try to grab the maximum possible supply of a given coin at launch.

It was Welch's blasé attitude, however, that particularly angered many within the crypto community. In one such episode which remains emblematic of Welch's attitude in the immediate aftermath of Hawk Tuah coin's collapse, the influencer abruptly exited her own X live space session in the middle of a vociferous outburst from a purported victim by proclaiming that she was going to bed.

Now, however, it seems that Haliey Welch is finally grasping the gravity of this debacle and appears to be taking appropriate remedial measures. In any case, a protracted legal battle now appears certain.

As a refresher, Welch became an internet sensation over the past summer when she was asked in a TikTok video which "move in bed makes a man go crazy," to which she replied, "you gotta give him that hawk tuah." Her newfound fame then culminated in the launch of the Hawk Tuah memecoin in early December, with disastrous results ensuing.

Of course, this is not the only memecoin that is grabbing attention right now. We continue to follow Fartcoin's ongoing saga with equal trepidation.
