If you are one of those players who paid big bucks for the Batman: Arkham Knight GeForce GTX bundle hoping to enjoy the caped crusader’s latest escapade in glorious resolution and smooth frame-rate with your brand new graphics card but all you secured was a game in a very sorry state, worry not, for there is still hope. Apparently, some retailers are being courteous enough to give out free copies of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to those who received a free copy of Batman: Arkham Knight as a part of NVIDIA's graphics card bundle.

You Can Apparently Ask For a Free Copy of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain if You Bought Batman: Arkham Knight Graphics Card Bundle

Here’s some good news for those who received the muddle of a port that Batman: Arkham Knight was with their GeForce GTX graphics card bundle. There’s a thread going on over at Reddit that suggests that a number of players who were provided with a free copy of Rocksteady’s latest action-adventure game as a part of NVIDIA’s graphics card bundle have been able to get hold of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain free of charge, thanks to customer relations, and promotions offered by some retailers.

According to the several individuals who have successfully went through the process, all you have to do is call the PC component retailer Newegg, present them with the order number from your original Batman: Arkham Knight graphics card bundle purchase, and they will provide you with a free copy of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as a replacement. Reports claim that this can be done with BestBuy as well. The original poster littlestminish wrote on Reddit:

“I don’t know if it was spread around enough yet, but I thought I’d give this awesome turn of events some visibility. All you have to is call Newegg up and give them your Batman: AK order number and they’ll send you a copy of Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. Note that isn’t a one per customer situation, so if you bought SLI and got 2 copies of the game, you will get 2 copies of Phantom Pain.”

As a proof, a couple of users posted screenshots of their chat conversations with the retailer. You can view the screenshots below. Users also claim that BestBuy will rather offer a $60 gift card instead of a new game. All you have to do is follow the steps shared here. It’s also not just Batman: Arkham Knight that is being replaced. One user said that they were given a free copy of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as well when they asked for another game as a replacement for Assassin’s Creed Unity that came as a free copy with GeForce GTX graphics card bundle.

Newegg has been contacted for an official word on the topic, and the post will be updated with their response. Have you been able to replace your copy of Batman: Arkham Knight with a free copy of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain? Let us know in the comments section below.
