Alongside the Pixel 10 series, the tech giant introduced the Pixelsnap Charger, which helps deliver a fresh take on wireless charging and can act as a smart display when the phone is charging.
The charging performance is dependent on the type of model you own. With the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold peaking at 15W, the Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the other hand, can go up to 25W charging speeds. While the convenience added when docking the phone is already a value addition, there is a more interesting element: the screensaver feature. This screensaver experience is activated when you dock your Pixel 10 for the first time, and the phone can now be turned into an interactive display that serves as a mini dashboard.
There are several options offered with this functionality, which include the ability to manage Home Controls and toggle home devices, show the current local weather, display the time front and center, and choose any preferred image that you want as the selected wallpaper. This feature is not just limited to a particular model but extends across the lineup, and for the Fold model, the screensaver adds even more visually compelling options, especially when left unfolded.
Google seems to be opting for smarter and more useful integrations with the Pixelsnap Charger. The accessory, priced at $69.99, is a sleeker and more versatile version than the previous one.
