Analyst Believes There Will Be Strong Demand for Pixel and Pixel XL – States How Many Devices Will Be Sold This Year
Though I strongly oppose of the pricing of both Google Pixel and Pixel XL, it appears the latest research is against the pricing point and hints that both of the devices are going to sell quite well, at least for this year.
Research Hints That Around 4 Million Combined Pixel and Pixel XL Units Could Be Sold This Year
The prediction was made by an analyst from Digitimes Research and states that the latest phone lineup could see a total of 4 million units being sold this year. The report also added that these Pixel phones could make up 40-50 percent of HTC’s shipments in the second half of the year, which is a really great thing to hear for the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer. HTC’s shipments might reach 6.5-7 million units in the second half of 2016, which is up less than 10 percent from 5.8-6.1 million units in the first half.
If you want more motivation to purchase a Google Pixel or even a Pixel XL, Project Fi will be entitled to receive a free Daydream View VR headset for absolutely no charge. Even in a recent poll, where we pitted both the newly announced handsets against the other flagships that were announced this year, including the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, 17 percent of voters opted for a Pixel XL, while 13 percent of those voters opted for a Pixel, which shows that despite the high asking price for the smartphones, they are a potential pick for consumers.
Besides running stock Android, one of the other selling points of these newly announced handsets is the lineup of exclusive features that they come with. Both Pixel and Pixel XL are going to be running Android Nougat 7.1 as soon as you remove them from their packaging. Additionally, Google Assistant is going to remain an exclusive feature on these devices, and although you might not have much use for it, it is still a useful feature to have for those that are going to use it on a daily basis.
Additionally, the camera has been rated as the best in the industry. If you’re interested in the pricing details of both Pixel and Pixel XL, they have been listed below.
