Under normal circumstances, we refrain from recommending 17-inch gaming laptops due to their massive size, but we will make an exception for the AORUS 17H thanks to the tremendous value its brings to the table. Let us review the specifications quickly; the large display is an IPS LCD with a 1080p resolution and supports up to a 360Hz refresh rate. Looking at these details, it is clear that this particular model is geared towards esports gamers, though the hardware present inside is more than sufficient to play the latest AAA titles too.
The RTX 4080 supports technologies like DLSS 3.0 and Frame Generation, and its 12GB GDDR6 VRAM buffer will enable you to keep the machine for a significantly longer period while cranking up those textures to enjoy the highest possible visual quality. The CPU is a 14-core Core Intel 13th-generation Core i7-13700H operating at up to 5.00GHz when required. You also get 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe 4.0 SSD, both of which can be upgraded down the road.
GIGABYTE went ahead and crammed the biggest 99.9WHr battery, which will last you for several hours before needing to charge again. The I/O of this gaming laptop is stacked and includes a Thunderbolt 4 port for those needing the extra throughput. Perhaps the only specification that disappointed us about the AORUS 17H was its 1080p display. With its RTX 4080, the bare minimum should have been a 1440p panel, but we guess GIGABYTE would have had their reasons for this decision.
In any case, you might think that the $2,299.99 price tag of this gaming laptop is too high, but this is the lowest price that we have ever seen on Amazon, and given that we have seen this model listed with the aforementioned price tag for a considerably long period, it appears that it will stay like this for a while.
