It's good to see that NVIDIA might be releasing its RTX 50 Series Super cards in the near future, but expect them to be expensive.
NVIDIA is Reportedly Working on RTX 50 Series Super, As it Readies RTX 5060 or RTX 5060 Super With 12 GB VRAM Capacity
After hearing reports on the cancellation of the RTX 50 series Super cards, a new report has emerged out of nowhere, claiming that NVIDIA has started working on the Super cards as expected. The popular leaker @Zed__Wang has reported that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Super is "back on track", and will also include a new RTX 5060 variant with a higher VRAM capacity.
While the user couldn't confirm the name of the newer GPU and whether it will be called RTX 5060 Super or just RTX 5060, the new card will reportedly bring 12 GB of VRAM capacity. For comparison, the current RTX 5060 has 8 GB of VRAM, and the newer card will introduce 50% more memory. This is because the Super lineup will depend on the larger 3 GB GDDR7 memory chips, which will introduce 50% more VRAM to the cards.
Not just the RTX 5060 Super, but almost every GPU will see a 50% memory capacity increase. The GeForce RTX 5070 will go from 12 GB to 18 GB, and the RTX 5070 Ti/RTX 5080 will receive 24 GB of VRAM instead of 16 GB. Currently, the RTX 50 series cards utilize the 2 GB GDDR7 VRAM modules, except for the RTX 5090 laptop GPU, which uses the 3 GB modules.
Previously, we did see some newer models on popular websites such as Seasonic PSU Calculator, but for some reason, NVIDIA didn't continue with its initial plan due to the VRAM shortages. It was also reported that the company has postponed the Super series to Q3 2026 due to several reasons, but as we can see, the company might be revealing the newer stack soon. While the user didn't disclose anything related to the launch date, we might see the RTX 50 Super series hitting the shelves by the end of this year.
