The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is going to be released in July, later this year. Now, a new rumor points out some significant changes that the company is making to the new clamshell foldable phone. I do hope that the company does not go for an increased price, but if the changes are accurate, then Samsung will have another compelling offering in its hands.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is shaping up to be a more promising foldable than I had thought
The leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is going to bring an even larger cover display than before. For those who don't know, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 came with a 3.4-inch cover display, which covered the entire half of the back and was a lot more usable than some initially thought. However, the rumor claims that the screen size will be bumped up to a respectable 3.9-inch on the new phone, which might not seem like a big difference but will certainly add some screen real estate.
The external display will remain the same at 6.7 inches, but that should not be an issue because it is more than appropriate for a phone like the Galaxy Z Flip 6, especially considering how the phone folds in half and can easily be carried around in a pocket.

• Bigger cooling system
• 3.9 inch outer & 6.7 inch inner displays
• 50/12 cameras
• 4000mah battery
• Improved hinge & internal layout
• Gorilla Glass Armor
• 7 years of updates
• Galaxy AI
• Possible 12gb ram models pic.twitter.com/OH1kXnYHPd— Anthony (@TheGalox_) March 13, 2024
What other changes are being introduced? Well, the rumor also suggests that the phone is finally getting an upgrade for its main camera, and this time around, there will be a 50-megapixel primary sensor instead of the 12-megapixel that Samsung has been using for some time. If my speculation is accurate, then this will be the same sensor that we have found on the Galaxy S24 series. This is definitely great news for those who are looking for a camera upgrade.
The rest of the upgrades include a larger cooling system, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, a better hinge and internal layout, seven years of software and security updates, Galaxy AI, and a possible 12GB variant. All of this will make the Galaxy Z Flip 6 a compelling offering for those looking for a sub-$1,000 device.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6, along with all the other devices, will go official sometime in July, later this year. Early reports indicate that the next major Galaxy Unpacked will be held on 10th July, so we are going to keep a close eye on it as the story develops and let you know if anything changes.
