A short while after we got our first look at Samsung’s Galaxy S26 family in dummy form, the first Galaxy S26 Edge render gallery is here, and we have the opportunity to take a gander at the design and other cosmetic changes that the company will introduce to its next sleek flagship. From the outside, we will be greeted by a completely different smartphone compared to the Galaxy S25 Edge, but the approach taken by Samsung could give it the label of a copycat because the Galaxy S26 Edge’s backside looks strikingly similar to the iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max that Apple is scheduled to launch next week.

The front side of the Galaxy S26 Edge looks practically unchanged from any of Samsung’s current-generation flagship

The collaboration of Android Headlines and OnLeaks helped conjure our first look at some Galaxy S26 Edge renders. According to some specification details, the device will measure approximately 158.4 x 75.7 x 5.5mm, and if you count that massive rear bump, the thickness will increase to 10.8mm. Looking at these dimensions, the tipster Ice Universe was correct when he claimed that the Galaxy S26 Edge would feature a slimmer chassis than the Galaxy S25 Edge while sporting a bigger battery.

If that rear bump is too unsightly to look at for whatever reason, it could be because Samsung requires space to allocate those camera upgrades for the Galaxy S26 Edge. The Korean giant could incorporate larger sensors to improve still imaging and video capture, meaning that it potentially risks being called a company that would copy Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max in exchange for providing consumers with features that they actually require.

As for the front side, there is practically no change between the Galaxy S26 Edge and Samsung’s other top-end smartphones. Perhaps a subtle design shift in the aesthetics would be that the sleek premium offering scheduled to launch in 2026 sports more rounded corners, making it easier to grip, while also being less prickly when you store it in your pocket, thanks to the absence of those ‘pointed’ corners. As for the rest of those internals, we will find out the elusive details when we arrive closer to Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event for 2026, so stay tuned.
