The Galaxy S24 FE has become something of a mystery. We have been hearing a lot about Samsung devices in the pipeline, but when it comes to this affordable flagship, there is not much information available. This would make one think that Samsung has given up on the phone idea, but the latest report hints otherwise.

Samsung is not giving up on the Galaxy S24 FE, as the phone will be released sometime this summer

According to a report from The Elec, Samsung's supplier has started mass-producing display driver chips for the Galaxy S24 FE. The report also suggests that the phone could go official this summer, which is not that far away. Now, Fan Edition devices do not follow a regular cycle like other Samsung devices in the market. However, if the Galaxy S24 FE is to launch in the summer, it would mean that the release date would be several months earlier than the release date of the Galaxy S23 FE, which was released in the fall on October of 2023. Summer would put the device sometime in June to August, so it is safe to assume that the phone is not that far from its official release.

Sadly, aside from this possible date, there is not a lot of information available on the Galaxy S24 FE. We only know that the device exists because of a few rumors. One rumor claimed that the phone is going to use a combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400, which is good because the Galaxy S23 FE uses an older Exynos 2200 chipset.

Whatever the case might be, I am glad that Samsung is not giving up on the Fan Edition devices. We are going to get the Galaxy S24 FE, and there are also rumors about the foldable phones joining the Fan Edition family. If that happens, then we'll have some really robust combination on our hands, and consumers will be able to enjoy the flagship experience but for cheap. It is something that many people have been looking for, considering how smartphones have become increasingly expensive.
