It has only been a little over two weeks since Samsung announced that it is bringing One UI 6.1 along with the best Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S22 devices and other phones simultaneously. It appears that the rollout has finally started, at least in South Korea, where users are now receiving the update on their devices. It is safe to say that shortly after this, the update will be available in several regions.

Galaxy S22 users can finally enjoy One UI 6.1 with AI goodness

The information was shared by users on the Samsung forums, indicating that the Galaxy S22 is now getting the One UI 6.1 update. The good news is that the update will also come out on other devices from the same era, so the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Flip 3 are also in line for the update, and it should not take Samsung a long time to prepare the build for these devices.

Now, the screenshot above is from a Galaxy S22 that received One UI 6.1 update, and it is also machine translated, but it gives us enough idea about what is coming with the latest update and what is not. Thankfully, Circle to Search, which happens to be my favorite feature, is also coming. Other features, such as real-time translation on calls, web page summaries, and an interpreter, are also making their way. So, for the most part, you are covered, and these features should work how they are intended. After spending almost two weeks with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, I cannot really imagine living without Circle to Search, as it is one of the most convenient features.

It is worth noting that the Galaxy S22 is currently only getting updates in South Korea. However, it should not take long before this update is rolled out in other regions. I cannot wait for all the users to try out these Galaxy AI features because they are really something, especially if you are looking to make your smartphone experience smarter and even easier.

The only feature that is not coming to the older Galaxy S22 series is the instant slow-motion feature, but I don't think that should be an issue for a lot of people. Everything else should be available, including the new and improved single take feature that launched with the Galaxy S24 series.
