Samsung has decided to surprise us all with the unveiling of the Galaxy Fit 3. The company's latest fitness-oriented smartwatch should be on the radar for many people looking for something that can track their fitness routine and boast long battery life. The Galaxy Fit 3 comes with a large display, a long battery life, and a host of new features. The watch is going on sale tomorrow around the world, but at the time of writing, the South Korean tech giant did not disclose any pricing.
The Galaxy Fit 3 is finally here as one of the best fitness tracker for Samsung and non-Samsung users
Rounding back to the specs, the Galaxy Fit 3 offers a 1.6-inch AMOLED display, which is 45% bigger than the predecessor. You have a single button on the right of the smartwatch, and the watch comes with a one-click quick-release mechanism for changing bands. Sadly, you are not getting any wireless charging on the watch as it uses a proprietary two-pin pogo charger at the base.
The Galaxy Fit 3 is the first device in the series to support Fall Detection as well as Emergency SOS. The latter can be triggered by rapidly pressing the button five times. Once that is done, your location will be shared with emergency contacts that you have listed on your device.
Samsung comes in with bold claims about the Galaxy Fit 3's battery life as the company says that the fitness tracker can last 13 days on a single charge - the watch is powered by a small 208 mAh battery. It is worth noting that this is not a substitute for the Galaxy Watch as it does not come with Wear OS or a proper interface. You do get the basics such as Calendar, Weather, World Clock, and tracking options.
Considering how the Galaxy Fit 3 emphasizes fitness tracking, it offers over a hundred workout types. Sadly, the cost-cutting measure means that there is no GPS. This means that if you want to do movement tracking, you are going to have to connect it with your phone. You also get sleep pattern tracking, steps, stress levels, and more. All of this can be accessed on the tracker itself or the Samsung Health app.
If you want to get your hands on the Galaxy Fit 3, you can pick it up starting tomorrow in Gray, Pink Gold, and Silver color options. The tracker is going to debut in Asia, Europe, Central America, and South America, with a release planned for the United States and Korea in the near future.
