Galaxy AI is Coming to Galaxy Watches and Other Wearables as Samsung Finally Confirms the News

The Galaxy S24 series was the first from Samsung to launch with Galaxy AI on board, and honestly, even though a lot of people might want to call it a novelty addition, I believe that Samsung truly managed something spectacular with it. Now, the company has shared its plans to bring artificial intelligence to other devices--namely wearables.

Galaxy AI could have a home in all of the Galaxy products that Samsung sells including watches, laptops, and more

Tm Roh, Samsung's President & Head of MX Business, published an editorial and talked about how the company is currently working on bringing Galaxy AI to several devices and across several services, too. This is great news if you are a part of the Galaxy ecosystem, as it will give Samsung a chance to ensure that its products and services are all working in tandem.

“In the near future, the select Galaxy wearables will use AI to enhance digital health and unlock a whole new era of expanded intelligent health experiences. Samsung will keep enriching and expanding Galaxy AI experiences across categories through collaborations with more industry-leading AI partners,” Roh writes.

However, this won't be the first time we will see Galaxy AI features being expanded to the wearables. If you don't remember, Galaxy Buds now have access to Live Translation and Interpreter Mode, which uses AI to get the job done. In the future, you could see similar features rolling out to Samsung's smartwatches as well. We might see some really neat AI-powered features in the upcoming Galaxy Ring, which is scheduled for later this year.

Roh's editorial also talks about how the company is just in the starting phase of revolutionizing on-device AI. "We’re only getting started. While developing the Galaxy S24 series, we had many ideas and concepts that we wanted to bring to life. Galaxy users will be able to enjoy more Galaxy AI features that build on these ideas and concepts over time as Samsung continuously enhances and grows the mobile AI experiences,” he mentioned in his editorial.

Honestly, I was under the impression that the Galaxy AI might just die as a novelty feature, but considering how serious Samsung is about it, it is more than safe to assume that things are going to get better going forward, and we are going to get some really good features. I just hope that Samsung keeps delivering the best-in-class experience going forward because the company has taken a long time to get where it is.

If my speculation is correct, we are going to see the implementation of Galaxy AI in all products that the company is working on--including the Galaxy Books. The company has a very strong starting point at its hands as it can just go ahead and develop something that will seamlessly connect all the devices together and bring AI to all the devices, too.
