Who doesn't love free PC games? Well, there's plenty available right now for you to permanently add to your libraries.

To start with, the Epic Games Store is gifting two games this week - The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and Thief. The former is the most recent edition of Obsidian's sci-fi Fallout-inspired roleplaying game. The Spacer's Choice Edition launched in early 2023 with all the DLCs (Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos), an increased level cap, and several visual upgrades, such as better vegetation and ground textures, character models, the introduction of volumetric lighting, and even new animations. It was already free on the Epic Game Store on Christmas Day, but if you missed it because you were too busy eating and then sleeping it off, now's your chance.

You have an entire week to claim The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and Thief, the other free game available this week via the Epic Games Store. This is 2014's reboot of the legendary stealth series. Made by Eidos Montréal, the game didn't very well in either critical reception or sales, and the developer later moved on to other games without making a sequel.

While these free PC games are accessible by anyone, the next few are exclusively available to Amazon Prime subscribers. Then again, there are free trial periods for Prime in most countries.

Prime Gaming is now giving away Chivalry 2, the multiplayer action game released in June 2021 by Torn Banner Studios. This is done through the Epic Games Store version, so you'll have to connect your Epic Games account to obtain the game. Chivalry 2 earned a great score in Wccftech's review:

It's fun, frantic, and only occasionally annoying, with enough depth to entice the experienced players and so much chaos for the more casual players to harass. Chivalry 2 builds upon a decade of innovation to create a new exciting entry in the online brawler that is sure to be as fondly played as the original beast.

Black Desert, the MMORPG made by Pearl Abyss, is also available for free. Granted, the game only costs $9.99, and it's not the first time the developers have given it away.
